KaWe Germany otoscope

The otoscope from renowned German manufacturer KaWe is a professional optical instrument for detailed examination of the outer ear canal and eardrum. It combines intense light with an integrated magnifying lens, allowing the doctor to see anatomical structures inside the ear perfectly.

The examination is key for diagnosing painful inflammation of the ear canal or middle ear, or for finding mechanical obstructions. The doctor can quickly determine whether accumulated earwax is the cause of reduced hearing or pressure in the ear.

The procedure itself is completely painless and safe for the patient, and the doctor uses disposable, hygienic ear specula. During the examination the patient simply sits calmly with their head slightly tilted while the doctor gently inserts the tip of the instrument into the ear.

The whole process takes barely a minute and provides an immediate picture of the ear's condition, on the basis of which the right treatment is determined straight away.
